An English Takeaway :Recorded in 1983/84 at Woodworm Studios in Oxforshire. Barnet Fair was an electric ceilidh band and I recorded this only album the band produced, in Dave Pegg of Fairport Convention fame's studio. AKUA The Rehearsal Tapes: Recorded in the middle of the 1990's in Crouch End in North London. Myself, Mark, Pete, Will and Stephany called ourselves AKUA.
The band had some fun and success playing this self penned acid jazz. There are no other recordings to my knowledge of AKUA, so I thought I would share what I have. ENJOY
The Storyteller: This album included some of the tracks featured in the Akua tapes. I have not included We Cry Out Loud, It Would Not Be Me or We Close our Eyes. Although different arrangments I prefer the Akua versions of these tracks. There are nine tracks included here. Click Here
